Video Card problems!!!!????

I just got a Radeon X1650 with 512M of RAM for around $200. My problem I can turn up all the settings to the highest but one,....the weather.....even with everything one the lowest my sky flickers black and I see weird triangles where airports are. Also I get very bad video lag with everything turned up too. My system specs. are CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3000+ rated at 3.01 GHz, RAM: 512M DDR PC333, Video Card: Radeon X1650 with 512M of video RAM, Power Supply: 300watt switching power supply, Hard Drives: One 80 gig, and 40 gig. HELP!!!!! :-/

They sky flickers black triangles? Sound like you're getting artifacts. Usually caused by overheating, or a damaged card. I had artifacts due to a damaged AGP slot before. However, this is very rare.

I had that and I downclocked my 7900GTX a bit, also new mobo drivers help.

If my video card was artifacting at stock speeds I would RMA that POS.

I was going to do that but it only does it to FS2004, and not to anything else and it runs the FSX demo fine :-?

I had a broken mobo where I had artifacts in FS2000, FS2002, but not in FS98 or FS2004. Also, I recently overclocked my video card. FS2004 looked fine, however in 3DMark05 I got artifacts. So, it depends on the graphics engine too.

I get something sort of like that but its only happens in FS2004, but not in any of my other games

Only airports? You need to install your sim then, I doubt then its a GPU issue.
