Anyone running one of these new cards on their rig? It's supposed to be able to run anything!!

I seem to recall the first DX9 cards that were considerd monsters.. they could not run FS9 worth a dang unless you tweaked the heck out of everything and then it still lagged.
LOL
Funny but as I got older in life I realized history tends to repeat itself, especially when it comes to new and improved hardware abilities in high end software

We have a 8800GTX (Family / workstation PC). Yeah, it slices through anything and pretty much kills everything out at the moment. However, as far as I know, ATI's version of the G80 will pretty much kill it hardcore.
If you're thinking about getting a 8800, WAIT, when the R600 comes out there will be price drops, and then you'll actually be using the features that you pay for.

It about what performance is like after the FSX DX10 merge.. it does not matter about VISTA with DX10.. what matters is how the FSX DX10 patch will afftect the 8800 and cards in their class. They may choke like a 9800 pro did with FS9.
