I just want to know if there is any new graphic card full compatible with directX 10 ???
I was about to buy a GeForce 7900GT 512mb 256bits...but I've read somewhere that this Crad will not work with DirectX 10 :P

Anyone to bring light to this thread? :)

Head on Luiz :P

The 7900/50 is the last (together with the X1900/50) DX9 card. What you need is a 8800GTS, but those cost a lot....... :P

The only video cards which can run Direct X 10 is the Geforce 8800. No other cards can at all.

Until ATI and midrange come along that is.... but for now, only the 8800 series!

You are paying a premium because "they can do what no other card can do right now".  I would wait for atleast ATIs new cards to come out.  Though i recommend waiting for the second generation cards. ;)

If you are willing to be a beta tester, go ahead and buy the latest DX10 cards... ;) ;)

DirectX10 will install on a system with a DX9 card. DX9 will still work, however, games that use DirectX10 won't run. At least that was the case with DX8 and 9.
