Well I bought a pair of PC2700 Sticks a while back for my old comp, and recently put them into my new computer, When I run Everest the PC2700 seems to register as PC3200.... but as to what I can tell this is not possible, or is it? I just want to know if I should leave the PC2700 in, or pull it out.... My guess is all my ram is really running at PC2700 but not registering that, but my computer never slowed down when I added the PC2700.... the ram in question is

Dont know.. it is possible Everest is old and needs to be updated or the SPD modules have incorrect data on them

or you really have a set of PC3200 modules

Its possible they are PC3200. Memory companies in the past have shipped stock like that when they are low on another type. If plugged into a motherboard that runs PC3200 they would be recognized as such where in a motherboard that is only rated for PC2700 they would be seen as 2700 sticks

Get CPUz and check them out.. see whatthe SPD reads on the modules

I Just upgraded my memory and those need a new home... they have never given me a problem and easily hit those extra high notes. I never stressed them to the max, kept the vdd within spec and they overclock quite nicely for the typical user.

A set of those will get rid of just about any bottleneck on the memory bus.

If you want them, as soon as the new ones arrive and I get them swaped in my grandsons tower I will let you know.

They are excellent sticks. They run stock @ 2-3-2-5 and 1T up to about 215MHz and then when adjusted to 2.5-3-3-5 @ 1T they will go up to 231-235 depending on the memory controller. If you are willing to run them @ 2T and 3-4-4-11 they will run 240-245 or possibly higher depending on the motherboard controller.

Cam had a set and they are more Intel friendly than they are AMD friendly for overclocking.

I always ran them using the memory divider @ DDR333, dropped the multiplier and boosted the FSB. As long as the sticks stay right around 230FSB they will run 1T, no problem

They need 2.7v to run a good overclock and 2.6 works fine for normal use. I never ran them @ 2.8v which is the max for them to handle so they are clean.

Well cpuZ read the same thing Everest did, the packaging read PC2700, Newegg said it was PC2700 and my old comp which could run PC3200 if I had an AGP slot Graphics card said it was PC2700..... I have no idea what the heck is going on, I guess I got a lucky PC3200 set? I still cant believe it....... I guess this explains why my computer hasnt slowed down since I installed the ram, it actually seems the same speed really! Well thanks for the help and cpuZ really hates my computer, locked it up.... hmmmm
