Bootable floppy, New bios on the bootable floppy, a few instructions I forgot labout..... you have saved your old Bios to the floppy and installed the new.... But I doubt a bios will help with the fan unless its not registering proper heat! Cheers Gunny

The 7 Series fans are loud at full rev, deal with it. Only fix is tweaking through RivaTuner, or putting a Zalman on it. A motherboard, or GPU flash will do nothing.

You can manually control fan speeds with rivatuner, if you reduce speed it will fry the card so I don't recommend it.

What was your old card. I think theres user error here, not a BIOS issue. And all a BIOS flash would do is reset your fan controol. He probibly jacked it up in RivaTuner and forgot about it.

Yep, take off the stock heatsink, see if it has any paste on it (I think GPUs have some type of thermal paste) Apply if needed, and Stick new fan on, since all GPU heatsinks have usually the same screw holes, all you need is a bracket (Comes with fan) and two screws (Also comes with fan) and plug the fan into the graphics card/Power supply or Motherboard/PSU.... (I think) Cheers, Gunny

but ya is that zalman fan quiter than the stock fan u think and would i have to take off the old fan and heaksink???
Well Zalmans are the quietest active aircooling systems on the market, and yes you will have to take off your old sink to put on a new heatsink.
As for BF2....You have a $250 card....crank those settings, your wasting resources
