The Usual Question...

Postby Mobius » Sat Oct 07, 2006 5:45 pm

Will I see a nice performance gain if I go from 1GB of PC2700 RAM up to 2GB of PC3200 DDR 400 RAM?  Sorry about the boring question, but thanks for any answer. ;)

Thanks for the response guys.  Yep, it's all set up to run up to what I hope to get there.  How much would you recommend spending on two 1GB sticks?  I was looking at newegg at some for around $220.  Thanks again.

I just upped my ram in this computer from 1024MB to 2048MB but with the graphics card stealing it, puts it down to 1.6Gig which isnt bad, and the loading times in stuff seems a lot quicker (I went from 2 3200 sticks to mix with PC2700 which registers in everest at 3200!??) plus now my system usually has a gig of free ram when running games it loads faster and doesnt crash my computer do to low memory..... anyways back on subject, yes if you go PC3200 and it supports it, it will be a quite a bit noticable difference! Cheers, Gunny

EDIT: the funny thing is, the ram is the rosewill I bought last Christmas for my other computer!
