Don't believe every thing you read. I have expiranced none of the problems in this article, however I have expiranced them in IE.

The only time I use IE is when I have to go to McAfee, Microsoft, or my Bank's website, everything else just likes FireFox.

PS: Why is this in hardware, and not Software.

Why cant we just get rid of all the Browsers in the world? Then nobody could read this site to complain about em!  ;D oh right, how would I type this? Cheers, Gunny (Hey, its just a thought!)

I tried an alternate browser a year or so ago... I got exposed to a few when I was experimenting with LINUX..

At that time, it was a pleasure to come back to IE..

Have things changed ?  I'm kinda curious. What are the reasons for using others ?

But, but....nobody answered my question... what are the advantages of these alternate browsers ?

When I was playing with LINUX.. you HAD to use something other than IE.

Have any of them become clearly better than IE ?

If so.. in what way ?

Well yes and no. I have noticed that certain pages do actually load faster in FireFox, and I have definately noticed less popups. The other nice thing is that you don't have all those stupid serch bars like you do in IE. Just the one built in, and nothing else.

I actually like IE. The search bars can all be shut off.

I tried Firefox when it first came out and was not impressed. Have not tried the latest version yet.

I an using Vista with IE7 and it is working great.
