Eh, not the biggest fan of that video card you picked. Your better off spending the extra and getting the 7900GT.

It won't do well in games because the video card is too slow. It is a $44 video card.

I would get a better video card, and power supply. I reccomend that 7900GS, and Enermax 535W.

i disagree, my dads computer runs a GeForce 5500 256mb and it runs most games at a reasonable rate. Infact my LAPTOP was useing a GeForce go 430 or something like that with 32mb and it even ran FS with maxed ground levels and 100% AI,  (no clouds, that just killed it lol  ;D ;) ) at a good 15-20 fps. Of course anything more expensive than what your getting will usually do better  :P  but $559 seems like a good deal, im paying $1150 for mine and i yet to get my own monitor and keyboard (useing a 3-4 year old minitor and equal keyboard, they aint bad but there nothing to brag about  ;D ;) )

+1

Seriously guys, you all worry about how FSX is going to run on your computer, and then you decide to make your upgrade a budget card. The 7300GS is barely better than an intagraded chip. For FS9 eh its playable (on mid low settings) and for games from 00 ~ 04 it will also do okay, but anything thats come out in the last three years will just eat it up when you try to do any gaming on an intense level. I would suggest a 7600GT minimum. A 7900GS preferable.

Remember save a bit longer, buy a bit bigger, be much happier. I can gaurentee that if you expand your budget to $800 your going to have a much more respectable rig than you do at $560.

yeah the 7300 isn't an amazing card, but it will do.  i would go with cams advice and get the 7900, it is a card that will last you a while.

The 7300 video card won't do, have you tried one? How can you advise on some rubbish that won't do the job?

It's NOT a gaming card. It's a cheap retarded card for grannies who play solitaire.

The 3800+ cpu is too weak to be of much use unless highly overclocked, so that's another MAJOR drawback to this system, You'd need a motherboard like the optional abit listed to overclock.

The generic Corsair ram? PFFFFF! They offer an upgrade to XMS for $27, take it!

If I sound harsh, it's because I just don't see the point upgrading to a system not suited for simulation, if that's what you intend to do with it.

Get a 7900GT or GS, they are cheap and run Flightsimulator 1000 times as good as the 7300.

Then again I think to myself "why is he buying an OEM...tell the boy to go to newegg.com"

GO TO www.newegg.com Its not that hard to put together a rig, we will show you what parts to get, and shipping from the egg is usually cheaper. So are parts.

Why do you think that? Because it has a bigger number?

I've seen a 5200, I had one, my 6600GT is ten times better and it barely gets by. So, I have no idea what you have experienced, but it's certainly not the same one that I have.   ???
