(from my joystick's user's manual):
In order to get best effects when playing, we recommend you calibrate and test your game controller first. Especially if you reboot your PC or re-plug the game controller to your computer

That means I have to calibrate everytime I reboot my PC????

Yup, sounds like it. I have to recalibrate my Saitek Cyborg Evo every time I reboot.  It's not that bad once you get used to it.

Strange, innit... :o...!

I've now got the same joystick, the Saitek Cyborg Evo Force, and every time I start FS9 up I have to operate all the joysticks functions, (X-Y, twist, throttle, etc),  through their complete range in the game before attempting to control the aircraft, otherwise the engine runs at full throttle and the plane swerves off the runway.... :'(...!

...like me, it's got little or no memory for what I did before closing down...;)...LOL...!

I never had to go through this rigmarole with all my other FF joysticks, MS, Logitech, etc.... :-[...!
It seems to be peculiar to the Saitek joystick...!

Very strange...!

Paul... 8)...!

One of the other reasons I got rig of all things Saitek ;D

Of course though after doing it a few times it becomes second nature and one more thing to take care of during pre-flight check ;D

Strange. I never had any problems like that with my Saitek X-36. Best joystick I ever had.

Ditto my X-45... every now and then, if I change planes without closing the sim, I have to run the throttle up and down, but other than that, it's been very solid. Haven't recalibrated in over a year.

I just got a new joystick. I didn't want to spend too much money, and didn't want to buy something cheap from Logitech, so I got a Saitek Cyborg. I just realized it doesn't have a twist handle, so I'm gonna be using keyboard rudder. Not cool, although it is my fault.

Should've gotten the cyborg evo mate ;)

Sucks when you make a bad mistake like that, we've all done it about a million times ::)

I've had to recalibrate first my Top Gun Flight2 Pro after 6 months of use and then my Saitek Cyborg for the last 18 months now before almost every flight, and sometimes enroute, like just before landing.  The aircraft turns to the right; it's flyable that way, but not easily.  I've posted in forums and tried everything I could think of, but no joy.  One does get used to it after awhile and I can quickly recognize when it's acting up and recalibrate.

Hahaha. With advertising like this, for $20 I couldn't resist buying it.

"Like a scalded, skeletal battlebot staggering out of the nuclear flames to stalk a shattered post-apocalyptic futurescape, the Saitek Cyborg Graphite Joystick refuses to be exterminated. No matter how many times we peddle it, no matter how much we slash the price, it rises anew to demand your attention and ours. We
