If he didn't overclock 70 degrees is insane on stock speeds. Sounds like bad installation unless it is overclocked. When I said I had 55 degrees on my Northwood you suggested I installed it wrong.
Take a better look Cheese. First off, a prescott (what he has, due to the fact that he has had it for four days) will idke at 40*C+ and reach 70*C+ on a stock cooler. I know I had one.
@Crash, if you go for the CNPS-7000Cu make sure to get the LGA775 mounting bracket with it, as it dosn't come with it.
