DirectX 10 cards

does any one know when these will be made available.
jsut wondering because next month im planning a massive rebuild of my rig. and i am planning on buying a Geforce 7900 card. just wondering if their is any point in doing this if the DX10 cards are just around the corner if they are that is)

DX10 cards probibly wouln't be here for about another year. Should be in august but who knows.

I'd say you're always chasing technology. Nomatter what you  buy, or when you buy it, it'll be old news within weeks or months. So my humble advice ( I don't know as much techically as these guys),,is buy your card, and enjoy it.

Don't buy a DX10 card until your favorite game is DX10.

If you mean FSX, it is in DX9

Microsoft will release a DX10 patch for FSX AFTER vista is released.

In order to have DX10 you must instal Windows VISA and FSX into VISTA, then apply the DX10 patch to FSX.

Windows XP will NOT run DX10.

Expect DX10 cards between March-May 07 however there might be a few early releases.

Expect the better cards to appear later than earlier... June-Aug would be a good guess but it is undefined at this point.
