Same Quality.

Save up, and buy a card that actually has useful features. Things such as pixel shader 3, Open GL 2 etc. I would suggest you save up, cus the ATi 9700 isn't a preforming card at all.

Cheers

The 9700 was a great card, and some still consider it to be. The 9700 will brutally take the FX5500 and throw it out the window. The FX5500 is nothing but a slightly overclockedFX5200. 9700 has 256bit memory interface, and 8 pipes, making it a decent performer. I would take it, but the only thing holding the card back is the 128MB Frame buffer. Go for it, but if you can save up some more money, do so, and you'll be rewarded with much better graphics.
