How long will it be til the new Intel Core 2 Duo will be available on Dell notebook systems? I've been waiting for a 64-bit capaable dual core before I upgrade to a new laptop. Any idea how much longer?

Today(27th July) is the date when they are released (supposedly), but i don't know the spec of the new Dell XPS laptops. I don't expect Dell will sell them until they have got rid of their old XPS M1710 laptops.

Itll be more like October by the time we see Conroe in notebooks.

Of course. Merom being the mobile equivalent of Conroe.
