Intel Core 2 Duo on Dell

Postby Wingo » Thu Jul 27, 2006 5:33 am

How long will it be til the new Intel Core 2 Duo will be available on Dell notebook systems? I've been waiting for a 64-bit capaable dual core before I upgrade to a new laptop. Any idea how much longer?

Today(27th July) is the date when they are released (supposedly), but i don't know the spec of the new Dell XPS laptops.  I don't expect Dell will sell them until they have got rid of their old XPS M1710 laptops. ;)

Wouldn't you want a Merom instead of Conroe in a laptop?

Of course.  Merom being the mobile equivalent of Conroe.
