i believe the technique of using the power of 2 PCs is known as crossgridding (or something similar) and i was wondering if there are any guides on how to do this.
i looked on google, but nothing showed up as i think i used the wrong name for the technique. please help as im in need of more power

Well first off having 4GB of RAM in a XP envirment is totally and utterly useless, as XP dosn't recgnise let alone even use 4GB of RAM.
Secondly it would split the tasks of processing, so all you get is a second processer and extra hard drives. You also get more moniter outputs, however do not get an SLi effect.
So unless your setting up a work station its not worth your time.
