New Rig At The End Of The Week! - Now Even Better!

Oh, yeah folks! I'm getting a new rig!

Here's the specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Gigabyte K8N-SLi NForce4
1024MB DDR PC3200 Dual Channel
Maxtor 250GB 7200RPM SATA HDD
nVidia GeForce 7900GT 256MB nVidia Club3D 7900GTX 512MB
420W PSU 500W PSU 550W PSU
Acer 19' TFT


I still have a dilemma between a black or white box ::) Black!

Yup of Corse a mac is a diffrent shade of white the white pc cases are almost cream and they are Horid

Right. Heres my little contrabution. That 420W PSU is not going to be enough to power that rig. Something like that is going to take atleast 500W. I suggest a Hiper Type R or something from PC Power and Cooling. For the SATA drive, make sure you get one of the new drives with a 16MB L2 cache.

For the case, look at a Thermaltake Tsunami, ithor that or the Lian Li PC-60 in Silver.

Where are you shopping? Go to Newegg.com, or if its a friend, tell him to go there. Trust me. The case is livable, but that PSU will die withen the first week running that system. When it dies, it might take down the mobo too.

So buyer beware.
