Well for only about $500 its going to be a bit tight. You may need to recycle your HDDs, case, and RAM.

As for the parts, if your going to look at AMD your going to have to go AM2. 939 is going to be completely phased out in two years.

So basically when you look at a 4200+ X2, AM2 Motherboard, and possable GPU (most likely 7600GT) you will have the preformance you want, but it will probibly squeeze every penny out of your budget.

I personally recommend that anyone who is going to be building a gaming rig have a budget of $800~1,000 ( 600~800 GPB).

Cheers

Well the bad thing is that AM2 doesn't support DDR...only DDR2..therefore, your current ram will be useless.

As for FPS, I tend to think anything over 50 is too high. My preferred FPS is 35-40, although I bet your opinion will differ.
I bet though that any new computer you build will be able to run FS well.

I don't like the RAM, I don't like the hard drive, and I don't like the video card.

1 The RAM: My biggest problem is its GeIL. I've worked with this stuff before, and its rubbish. Look at Corsair or OCZ value for a better buy.

2 The hard drive: Two reasons. One if I remember right, that obard dosn't support SATA 2. Only 1.5 and 3. Two the brand. Western Digital is much better. When you look for a SATA drive, make sure it has a 16MB cache.

3 the Video card: Gigabyte dosn't make the greatest cards. Look at eVGA, Leadtech, or BFG (in that order). Preferably look at a 6800XT from XFS.

Also the PSU in that case is going to need to be replaced. Oh and your not going to need the extra SATA cable, the mobo comes with two or four.

Other than that, the mobo and CPU look fine. The only problem is that 939 is going to be phased out in about 1.5 to two years.

Cheers

Actually SATA2 is "SATA3G". Sata 1.5 denoted 150MB bandwidth. It is known as SATA (or SATA1) SATA 2 is the newer SATA3G, or Sata 300MB/S. So technically, he has the right hard drive. Don't worry ubntfp, your HD will be fine with the new comp. As for GEiL I have 2 512MB DDR400 sticks from them in my old computer, and they work fine. But Corsair and OCZ are better companies, so go with what you feel is right. Also YOU MUST CHANGE THE HARD DRIVE! The nForce4 and DiamondMax Hard Drives have conflicts with each other, and users have reported it. Western Digital is a good brand, or you can try Seagate. Good luck with the build! 8)
