hey.  i am having what i think are a few problems with my 7900GT.  when playing fs, i sometimes struggle to achieve 15fps.  at first i thought it was my psu (250w) at first so i upgraded that to a suggested 400w.  but this has not helped.  anyone got any ideas as to why im not getting the perfomance i should be getting?

thanks

I have a BFG 7900GT. They do seem to run fairly warm, so check the temps to make sure they're OK.

Disk defrag, as mentioned above, is a good idea.

I advise getting the latest drivers off nvidias website and updating drivers like your motherboards chipset driver.  Also check to see if you have disabled your onboard graphics if thats what you were using before and removed any previous graphics drivers.  If that fails I would suggest reformating and updating your motherboards BIOS to the latest version.  Unless the rest of your pc is very very crap you should not be getting 15fps.  I get more than that with my pc which has alot less powerfull graphics card than a 7900gt.

Your performance been so low suggests to me more than a hevily fragmented disk.

could you post details of the rest of your pc?
*ah I see the scrolling... yeah you should have alot more than 15fps!

I don't think any amount of disk fragmentation would cause a
