Hi guys!

I know practically nothing about soundcards, and what features to look for in them. So, I need your help! :)

What I really want is a nice soundcard that'll give me great sound for computergames (almost only FS), and great music quality, nothing else really. Of course I'd also like it to be from an established brand, too.

Bundled software; Don't care..

Lots of High-Tech soundprograms; Don't care..

A simple install and setup; Would be nice.. (not required though)

Fierce looks; Don't care, my cabinet isn't see-trough anyway.. :P

Loft; approx. [i]

It won't be to expensive, but know one thing First

    [2.1=2 Little sound boxes][5.1= Sweet surround][7.1=Awesome surround]

;)

going from cheap to expensive, so i'd say get a expensive 2.1 card or a cheap 5.1 one. Go for nothing butt a Creative soundcard...

Cheers Mees :) :)

Try Creative's X-Fi. One of the best sound cards on the market right now.

The problem is that for $120 you really don't get much over the Audalogy 2 Gamer ZS Also if you have a nForce board, there have been incompatability issues sited with the X-Fi's and the motherbard.

Thanks for the info and links guys!

By the looks of it, the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS SB0350 seems a bit better, cause of the higher sample rate [192 KHz vs. 96 KHz]. Would that be correct?
