Go 6800 issue

Me again, lol

I finally got my Asus Z81sp, which came equipt with a Geforce Go 6800.
Problem is graphics artifacts, flashing and popping graphics in FS9.

I am currently runninb the 84.21 drivers from laptopvideo2go with the modded inf, thinking it may be the driver that came installed. no fix.
Then i thought maybe it was FS9 itself so installed Quake so I could test a OpenGl game against DirectX and same issue artifacts (think that is the correct term).

Then i thought heat so after letting the laptop sit turned off and unplugged for about 5 hours fired it started FS9 and still same thing.

So is this a heat issue? only time Ive seen issues like this were due to heat, or could it be a bad card?

I understand lappys being hotter than desktops, ran Everest and it showed my GPU temp about 145*F which is warm but I didnt think that hot considering its enviroment.

I did run Drivercleaner before updating drivers and also reinstalled DirectX 9c just to make certain the problem didnt lie there.

Any ideas as too what i can look for or check before contacting customer support?

Well CT here is what i got, first I tried some of the 9 series drivers and still no luck.
After scanning the web for every possibility I finally came about someone with a similar issue and a reply about BIOS problem.
Seems that ASUS shipped a bunch of Z81s that have the graphics cards highly overclock, mine without touching anything was at 325 core 700 memory. (dont know if that is high or not? )

I bit the bullet downloaded and flashed the bios afterall I was going to send it back anyway so if I buggered the whole thing might as well make it worth it.

After flashing the BIOS with this beta all artifacting is gone!
my clock settings are a bit lower now at 325-600 respectivly and using the Nvidia conrol panel and check what it says is my "optimal frequencies" it suggests 354-659 respectively.

Since the artifacts are now gone I will wait before clocking any higher, Im curious as to my temps now see if they lower.

Here is a link where others can grab this BIOS if they have similar issues.
