Intel 9xx and nForce SLI

Hey everyone. I'm just asking to make sure if the Intel 9xx chips are compatible with the nForce SLI Intel Editions. (It didn't say on ASUS's website) I was look at this motherboard

Yes the Pentium 9xx are compatable. However why buy NF4 right now? NF5 just came out, and its the same price and a better package.

However should you decide to go the Prestler / NF4 route, it will work, it just may need a BIOS update.

Thanks for the reply ctjoyce. I bet many of us (like me) would be stuck on ice without your help. Thanks for clearing it up. And yes that motherboard has great heatpipes and farther spaced PCI-E x16 slots, but that price might bother my father's credit card a little... ::) ;D ;D

True, however that board has 2x PCI-E x16 lanes, whilst the other one only has one X16 lane, and they slow to x8 while in SLi. Also the Delux edition one comes with a BIOS that is ready for the D strait out of the box.
