Hi there, so my new computor is assembled but the BIOS is a nightmare! I think i have configured everything correctly but my CDROM just doesn't want to boot the windows xp disk.  Heres the message:
PXE-E61: Media Test Failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: exiting Nvidia boot agent
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI, Maxtor 250Gb 16mb cache, AMD Opteron 148, and using the old Lite-on-combo cd/dvd drive.

OK fixed the previous problem but now I have a new one, there was no installation disc supplied with the hard drive but the BIOS recognises it, but the windows install disk decides it can not find the device ???

Jumpers ?

Just one HHD ? (make sure it's set to Master; Not Master With Slave, Slave, or Cable Select)
