Hi there, so my new computor is assembled but the BIOS is a nightmare! I think i have configured everything correctly but my CDROM just doesn't want to boot the windows xp disk.  Heres the message:
PXE-E61: Media Test Failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: exiting Nvidia boot agent
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI, Maxtor 250Gb 16mb cache, AMD Opteron 148, and using the old Lite-on-combo cd/dvd drive.

OK fixed the previous problem but now I have a new one, there was no installation disc supplied with the hard drive but the BIOS recognises it, but the windows install disk decides it can not find the device

Jumpers ?

Just one HHD ? (make sure it's set to Master; Not Master With Slave, Slave, or Cable Select)
