Congradulations!

You have just volunteered yourself to become the UNofficial beta tester of FSX when it first comes out. ;D

If the developers at M$ are correct about the general system requirements then your new rig should handle it. But if it doesn't then I don't know what rig could.

You wasted your cash on the GFX card...I don't think it's DX10 compatible... :-X

DX10 cards will not be avalble until Vista is released etc. It will be some time before all the dust settes on Vista and DX10 before anyone should even begin to think about a DX10 card.

Emmanuel, I think your card will do just fine until then. :)

Are you forgeting that M$ will make FSX mainly DX9 compatible anyways? In that case, you need another injection. ;)

Microsoft isn't stupid, they won't leave out people with current computers.
There was probably two market plans for fsX.

1: Make it work on current computers perfectly fine, and get more sales of the game.

2: Make the game require Windows Vista and DX10, causing slightly more Vista sales.

No.1 is definatly the best choice.

True, however a 7900GT is a very fast card and will run fsX on fairly high settings. Infact, E3 is on a 7800GTX.

Beta tester? I have had most Microsoft games and they've never been buggy. If you want to become beta tester get a game called Big Rigs: Over the road racing.

Lol, this is yet another topic where we discuss the stuped question of wethar or not a GPU will handle FSX. Just read the boards kids, and you will find that if FSX is DX10, than we are all going to need new cards (or suffer from no eye candy). If FSX comes out DX9 than your more than fine. Another that many forget is that with Vista and all its glory 2GB of RAM is only going to be equivilant of 1GB in XP. Its just the way the code is written.

So basically Emmanuel your system is going to run beautifully now, and will run something like mine in Vista. Its going to be high end, but not the top.

Oh ya, and how much did you pay for that, and where did you get it from.

Cheers
Cameron
