I got a new toy!

I don't know if this belongs here, or in the photos, but I'll just put it here anyway.

Okay so here goes. This weekend (May 18th to be exact) was staples 20th annaversery. That means that we all got 20% discounts, so I took mine and bought myself a HP iPZQ hx2495. And boy is this thing cool. Now I have had several PDAs before,

Palm IIIc
HP iPAQ h1945
HP iPAQ rx3115 (two actually).

But none can really compair to this one. I'll just run down the specs to see if it catches your eye too.

Processer: Intel PXA270 @ 520MHz
RAM: 64MB SDRAM 192MB ROM (128MB user file store).
Screen: 3.5 x 5" 16bit
Wireless: IR, 802.11b, Bluetooth
OS: Windows Mobile 5 Premium Edition
Expansion: SD/MMC, Compact Flash

Its quite the little thing, and for only $320 I just had to have it. I mean heck I sit and play with it all day, and have sold 3 in the past week, so I may as well have one.

Now for those who have PPCs running WM2003 or WM2003SE WM5 is a HUGE jump. First off alot of the today screen tweaks that you have to buy for WM2k3 come pre installed on WM5. For once you can decide what part of your picture you want on the today screen, and its transpiracy. Lots of little things like that, and a reworked ActiveSync + BRVP Phone tools make WM5 a great OS for such a great little PPC.

Now to the pics. (the quality is because of my camera didn't want to focous correctly. The screen in real life looks as good as your LCD monitor at home)

IE6 Mobile. Unfortunately FireFox dosn't have a mobile browser so I am forced to use IE. However it loads SimV quite nicely.

Windows Media Player 10! Finally! Much better interface all around. And Office Space in Landscape dosn't look too shabby ithor.

Amung the many programs that you can run here is Pocket Streets 2005. A really handy tool to have. And I figured for only $20 I may as well get it. It also has full GPS support (as does the PPC, just stick in a CF GPS and your good to go).

FS95! I'm not kidding you. Its actually called Leo's FS5, but just the way it works etc, its FS6 without a doubt.

And I almost forgot, Pocket Skype.

Some of the software not pictured (that I have installed. * indacates stock).

Outlook 2002*
Word 2002*
Excell 2002*
Power Point 2002*
SOTI Desktop Controoler
Pocket MSN (Messenger, hotmail etc)*
HP Photoviewer*
AIM
Doom 3D
FTP Client*
Websters Dictionary
Spanish - English Dictionary

And theres a whole bunch of other stuff you can throw on there too. Pocket Acess, Quicktime, IR remotes, Pocket DivX, and soo much more.

Cheers
