Heli rudder, Saitek R220 pedals

Postby Dan » Mon Apr 03, 2006 8:04 am

Hi! Has anyone managed to get these to work as FS9 rudder control? I can get them to, but the right hand pedal works as neutral half way down, and the left does nothing.

Fix available?
Cheers

Dont have them but looking at the Saitek-R220 FAQ it sounds like you would have to have them in 'combined' mode.

FS would then have to see them as a single 'joystick axis' so they could be assigned to the 'rudder'.

If FS see the pedals as a seperate device, you would also have to look and see if FS is recognizing something on your joystick as a 'z' (rudder) axis and un-assign it so there's no conflict.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
