I got the X-52 for my 32nd birthday this past Satruday. I unloaded my X-45 software, reloaded the X-52 software,reprogramed all the buttons to my liking......However. I notice that the stick isn't as stiff as it was on my X-45. It's almost like a force feedback without the force feedback.  There is a way to tighten the tension on the throttle but I don't see a way to torqe the stick. Anyone have a fix for this or am I going to have to relearn to fly as is.  I was thinking of putting a spring rubber in underneath the baseplate out of site. Sort of a NASCAR fix if you will but I'll wait on suggestions .

My X-45 was much tighter. The X-52 is "factory loose" to me. Maybe it's because it's a meatier stick with all the added buttons making it more top heavy. I did notice a slight improvment in handling when I adjusted the pinkie switch. Guess it's just something I'll have to get used to....

I had the same thought, put a "Spring-rubber" in there to stiffen up the spring.  I never tried it though, I should imagine it would work, as long as you can figure out where to find something that would do the trick.

i think there is a knob on the side of the throttle that adjusts the tension of the throttle and the x45 had a screw underneath to adjust that stuf

That was my first thought as well,however,the 52 doesn't have that screw on the bottom of the base for the stick. I'm getting use to it as is though. I might try my "spring rubber" idea later. Right now I'm in the midst of reloading everything

the reason why it's loose is because of the spring (which is visible) is not very strong. only way to stiffen is to get a new spring (or tighen this one somehow...). it's all got to do with the "precision centering mechanism"

if you do find a way, please tell me, cause it is a bit loose, unlike my ol precision 2.

Hmmmmm. The spring............ I figure it's the problem which is why I suggested the "spring rubber" technique. However......I wonder if the spring is a little more meatier on the 45 vs the 52? If so, I wonder how hard it would be to swap them out? Of corse if it is indeed meatier than the 52 the springs would have to be the same size. Hmmmmmmm. I'm at work right now. Anyone have both sticks to do a quick comparison and is not at work right now? If not I'll just check for myself when I get to the house.
