I've had a Saitek X45 for a year and it has been doing some annoying things on occasion.

I got so tired of messing with having to reinstall drivers,  it keeping my USB ports "hot" even after the PC was shut down to messng with my TIR and those that you mention above amoungst other issues that I trashed everything Saitek that I had, including keyboard.

All CH Products now and never been happier all pc issues are gone, all the products work together flawlessly!

So my recommendation is to spend the extra money and buy some CH items IMHO the absolute best you can buy.

Yes, by the methods of trial and error, removing items then adding them one at a time I have come to the conclusion all my issues pointed back to saitek. With no Saitek devices at all none of the problems have returned as soon as i start to add Saitek items they start to reappear. So yes Im pretty certain.

What is odd is that i thought it was good stuff also, for awhile that is, the issues sort of creeped up on me, the most noticiable first being the Track IR issues even after switching USB ports they still exsits, but after removing the X45 completly they are gone, this including the Eclipse keyboard, which by the way I found you can't adjust your BIOS that well with one ;) your keys suddenly become useless, so for the time being this $9 keyboard is what I use, and sad to say one of the best i have used yet LOL!!

Thanks for the replies, picked up a CH Fighterstick today, now trying to figure out how to program it!  It does work really well however.  Am not sure if it's something just with my Saitek unit, if it has an issue with my system only I would be happy to find it a new home.

Whats nice with the CH stuff they program easily from within the sim, which I recommend while you adapt to it.
As you noticed already not only is it more comfy to hold, you also don't need the muscles of MR T to operate it :)

After getting used to the light touch that it needs then go in and start to mess with the Control manager to make profiles, this is something I am just starting to mess with.

Congrats on your new stick Im sure you are going to enjoy it!
