ATI x1900xtx can roll over and die now, the king is back

http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=908
the 7600GT i did my math and the mem is clocked a 1250mhz, this is a fast little card for the mid range.

I'll be on new egg tonight when it hits mid night in CA to let yall know the prices.

HA!!!!!

The X1900XTX STILL benches higher than this. STILL!!!!! According to Maximum PC, Hot Hardware, and GPU Review. HA HA HA HA !!!! I still win.

Benchmarks don't lie. nVidia is in sight of the crown, but the XTX still remains suppream.

I'm going to wait till tomorrow for offical benchmarks not leaked ones. The launch is tomorrow, and i bet we will see something amazing Also the 3d marks are true gaming benchmarks and are always in ATI's favor, wait for real games, thats what matters. Also those scroes are way to low. We will see tomorrow at launch, I do think Nvidia and there 32 pixel pipeline beat will shut up ATI fans for good.

i'm gonna agree with CJ and say the X1900XTX will still kick ass, even when the 7900GTX comes out.

Watch your tung boy. Because nVidia had 24 pixel pipelines, and the X1800XT's beat out the 7800GTXs so just because the card has twice the amount of pixel pipelines dosnt mean that its going to preform better. Also looking at the core layouts, ATi is useing a much better, and more efficent core. Also a more power friendly one. So say what you will, however I think that the field is about even. For now. The new ATi express chip is soon to debut, so SLi is no longer safe ;)

7900GTX $499 24pp, 650mhz core, 1600mhz mem

7900GT $299 24pp, 450mhz core, 1320mhz mem

the 7900 gt and gtx are core combatable, so if you get a good after market cooler when they come out you can clock the 7900gt just as high, also the same GDDR3 is used for both that lovely 1.1ns Samsung GDDR3 so get a 7900GT and get a bigger cooler and go fast :D

7600GT $199 Evga oc card to feature 600mhz core, 1560mhz mem, and 256bit mem bus with 12pp. This thing mops the 6800gt according to http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=30100

I must get one

the 199 is the 7600gt launce price the evga card will prolly be more expensive but worth it.

Not really. 1st Quad SLi is already out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128318. And 2nd you cant compair these two systems as Crossfire is dual and Quad SLi is quad. However ATi is picking up the slack, and we should see a quad Crossfire board sometime early next year.

As far as the clocking etc goes, if I rember the article right, the 7900 series run hotter than the X1900s. So even with a VPS700cu on there you are still looking at temps in the low 40s. Also if I rember right the GDDR3 chips the X1900s use are also Samsung,

All in all the X1900 is still the better buy (not only faster but cheaper). Even after overclocking the 7900s will probibly still be in its wake.

90% of benchmarks are in 7900GTX favor, Nvidia takes the crown agian. Look at real world gaming states, and 3d marok 03. Only in 05 and a few games is the xtx any faster. Also a 1024mb gtx part is planned :D

Yes, both are fast, no doubt. But which one looks better? My money goes with ATI.

mine goes with Nvida, the 1900xtx was barly faster than the 7800gtx 512, and the 7900GTX 512 is alot faster, so ATI lost the crown they had for a month. Its time yall face the music, they won 2003, they tied 2004, lost 2005, and are gonna loose 2006. Rember Nvidia is spending there time and effort on the 8800 GTX, the release is planned in July for it, so a DX10 card before DX10

But its going to be underdevloped tech, so is going to fail. ATi is going to come out with their DX10 answer, and take the crown back. Rince Repeat.

The XTX was alot faster than the 7800GTX 512MB btw. Almost 7 FPS in most APPs and almost 20003DMarks

3D mark doesn't matter, its not a true idea of gaming power. Also the 8800 wont be underdevloped. It will do what the 7800GTX did to the X1800XT which we all know is slower than the 7800GTX.  Thats why ATI needed the 1900xtx to beat it. ATI got Nvidia because Nvidia was complacent, they didnt make that mistake again. I know alot of friends of mine that saw the x1800xt and the 7800gtx that were upgrading from 9800/x800 agp systems to pci-e and they went with the 7800gt/gtx. So ATI fan boys are seeing the fall, its like the intel ppl going to AMD, Nvidia is the best. ATI only wins for video playback, for media gurus its fine, but for gaming Nvidia owns all. Not to mention ATI couldnt do a hard launch to save there life.
