Looking for a new CPU or GPU?

Seems that alot of people have finally payd off the credit cards, and are looking for upgrades. So insted of making a list (like I did last time I published one of these articles) I'll just publish the benchmarking scores. If you read through the rest of the articles, you will find alot of info on what the cards are really about, but these charts are good for once glance buys (meaning your between two cards and dont know what you want). I can personally say I have setup my system to mimic the ones that they have in their tests, and have gotten withen 100 Marks (Futuremark programs) and 2~4FPS of what they said these would do.

GPU:
http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/12/02/ ... age18.html

CPU:
http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/11/21/ ... age50.html

Unfortunately the GPU charts dont include Crossfire scores or those of the X1900 series, but then again those came out after they posted the article.

Anyway I hope these help someone, and should end alot of the questions about how certain products prefrom. Now you have the answeres with multiple benchmarks to tell you whats going down.

Cheers
Cameron

well comparing the benchmarks i find that andtech and guruof3d are closer, when i benched my system, with the 6600gt it was closer to the andtech and guru machines with the toms hardware one being way under, yet having the faster system. toms is somewhat biased toward nvidia all together
