spending $80 on an X45 is too much, and spending $120is too much fro an X52. But when i saw the refrubished section, X-45's for $40 and X-52's for $60, i don't wanna pass that up.

but had anyone had problems with refrubished joysticks from saitek?

Depends on what it is...
refurbished videocards, motherboards / processors and harddisks are no-go for me.

Videocards: almost certain someone blew it up
Motherboards: mmm you can TRY it but i wouldn't risk it
Harddisks: NO. simple. Mobo+video aren't essential for your data.

LAN cards: someone might use my dumped 3C950C-TX-M i think... with a repaired connector. Anyway, they don't seem to have learned anything from that RMA

I don't know about saitek, but I've got a refurbished Emachines laptop that looked and worked like new when I got it 9 months or so ago ;)

I'm not to excited about refurbished electronics ::)

To many bad (one pretty expenisive) experiences.  I'll never buy another IBM laptop again :-/  Or at least not a used one :-[  That thing was a nightmare :-X

I'm leery of refurbs, too. I'd rather up the extra bucks for a new one, then I know deep in my heart that I got the best I could. If it craps out after that, I have a new warranty and can go from there.
