XBox 360 Game Controller for Windows

Postby FS_Pilot » Tue Jan 24, 2006 10:10 am

I have just purchased the New XBox 360 Game Controller for Windows. It is the same controller that is used by Mike Gilbert Program Manager from microsoft in his Interview regarding FSX http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/microsoftflightsimulatorx/index.html. It is very different than flying with a normal Joystick. It takes a bit of getting used to as with any different controler but it seems to working really well. I still have a bit of trial and error with setting up the assignments. It is a lot easier to hover with as all you are using is your thumb on the Hat switch. The only thing i have against it so far is you are controlling the cyclic with your left hand and the collective with the right. Because of its design this unfortunatly cannot be (reversed) changed. I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who as also tried one to get your reaction.
