this computer im selling to a friend tommorrow. it was my old dell P4 (2.6ghz). selling for $200-250, not a bad price!
im trowing in the CD drive, the floppy, and i have to find a cheap Hard drive to buy...

my second project is my old old Dell. i just installed a SCSI 9gb drive into it, hoping this will work. it's just a side computer, mainly used fro internet when im working on my X-100

and this computer is something i grabbed from school. im using it for parts for the computer im selling. we got a load of computers and servers from an employee at the HS district.

They had Pentium Pro's!!!! there was no fan on the processor, weird stuff... and it was HUGE!! i've never seen a processor soo big.

When I get old computers I try and fry them. I took a heatsink off a P2 and booted it up. It did not smoke but it got VERY VERY hot. I think it eventually fried. I took the HSf off an old ATI Rage and turned it on, also got very got but worked well untill you tried anything 3d then it would tweak out. Fun Fun

Your X-100 looks nice, but could go for a HUGE tidy. Hide the PSU cables, or brade them. I know that most of us are hardware over looks, but why not make it look as fast as it is? Useing the back of the motherboard tray works well for getting rid of cables, also getting a modular PSU works wonders ;)

Other than that how much you get for the refurb dell?

Cheers

Pentium Pro works best with WinNT... beats a well configured P3 in speed then.
Or put linux on it.

Win 95 or 98 is not meant for these
