Well this time windows will not Detect my MS Precision Pro 2 joystick and I dont have money to replace it, I plugged it in to every USB Port I have and nadda, Printer works yet stick does not, its been knocked around quite a lot, but lately the front USB Port didnt wanna seem to have it, so I  put it in back and a few days later, She doesnt work.... And dont tell me to buy some Stinkin Saitek.... or logitech, If I have to replace stick, I'm going with an MS off Ebay, anyways if I can fix it, I'm keeping it! Cheers Gunny

Have you got any other USB devices plugged in and are they working?

...doesn't the printer plug into the Parallel Port?

..and the joystick plugs into the USB port, or the Game Port..?

Do any of the USB ports work...?

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the Motherboard Drivers from your Motherboard CD, which include the USB, AGP, and Chipset drivers...?

Maybe the motherboard drivers are corrupted...?

Leave it to Automatic windows updates to screw things up, I just checked it (after many restarts) and it works.... Front USB port I think has had it though, Cheers, Gunny

PS: Oh and foz, printers hook to Parallel only from a long long time ago, printers are USB these days.... as is everything else just about!
