I just bought a new joystick, as my other one is kinda shot.... ::)
Its a Saitek Cyborg evo. :D

Its awesome! There's a detatchable hand rest on it , and with it, the stick is quite comfortable...There are many more adjustable axis on it . It moves well and is not to spring loaded...!

I would suggest it to anyone looking to aquire a new stick... 8)

PS: The buttons light up with USB power... ;D

Saitek does make good joysticks. I am using an X45 at the moment...It's the best one I have ever had  :D

I also have the X45, fantastic joystick lest sometimes the centring spring is a little too strong for my liking  ;D

What I dont get about people buying cyborgs is that cyborgs dont have a separate HOTAS throttle like the X45 or X52, do they?

Nah, they don't.. Sadly.. :(

Right now, i'm trying to decide if i should get a Saitek X52, or a Thrustmaster Cougar Hotas (F-16 Replica..)

Hrm... i'm leaning twoards Saitek, but i'll still need to put some more research into it.

But the Cyborg Evo was a good choice, i have one right next to me. ^^

I just bought the Saitek X52 yesterday and this thing is really awesome. It really does do away with using the keyboard and the mouse. With the exception of using the ATC radio, which you still have to use the keyboard for.

But is it just me, but when you use your X52 in Fs9 doesn't it seem to make any aircraft you fly feel like a hang glider. The controls are so smooth that there is  no more of the camera getting away from your aircraft neither. it is like you have total control over your aircraft no matter where the chase camera looks and best of all when your aircraft recovers from a sharp turn the camera seems to find its way back to its original position.

But I have to qoute what someone said about the first time they plugged in their X52, those neon blue lights make it feel like you just step into a fighter jet and you can definately play in the dark now!

I went with the X52 when making that decision as well. I really got the X52 because of the seperate joystick and throttle control package. But when I hooked her up I realized how smooth it makes flying your aircrafts in FS9! Almost feel like you are flying a glider regardless of what aircraft you pick. I think that is this controllers only short coming. I wish it had a forcefeedback feature to allow you to feel wind sheer.

But at $109 (BEST BUY) i think this controller is the better option!
Forcefeedback pro 2 (didn't work well with the B1b and some other aircraft and the chase camera never kept up with the controller commands.)

to a Logitech Exteme pro (which I only chose for the many programmable buttons, but it came up short because the axis was all screwed up on it and it had too much tension on the stick and an ackward position for a throttle stick.

Then I tried a Saitek X52 and we have a champion

1 - throws away use of the mouse and keyboard over 36 programmable buttons!

2 - gives you excellent flight control of any aircraft regardless of the camera angle you maintain control! Which makes flying jets more fun!

3- the only down side is no forcefeedback to give you an authentic feel of the aircraft you are flying as well as wind sheer.

I have the X45 as well. I hate the spring tension on the throttle. No way to adjust it. I make those small corrections and it wakes the wife late at night from the noise.
I went to best buy and checked out the X52. Nice and smooth - no creaking on the throttle. Spring tension was perfect. Not to mention it just looks good sitting there all lit up.  ;D I think Santa is going to bring me one. ;)
