DVD to VHS

I'm trying to put a DVD onto video to show at school on Thursday but everytime I start recording with the VCR the picture goes blue! The second I turn it off the problem goes away.
I've tried playing the DVD in my DVD player and with the PC (it is connected via an S-Vid cable to the SCART). I can't believe it is a security feature as this was a cheap DVD (999Ft in a sale a few weeks ago)....
Any ideas anyone?

Mark

That VCR is most likely using macrovision encoding within the video source file in order to prevent you from illegally copying the dvd.. ;)

Yes it is possible and yes it is done quite often to most videos according to research I did for a project involving illegal file sharing.. ;)

But I brought the wretched thing... I'm not sharing it just showing a small part to one of my classes.......
Oh well I guess I'll just have to carry my DVD player to school then ::)

they don't care what you are doing with it, they just don't want you copying it!
