HELP HELP HELP

Postby Mobius » Tue Oct 25, 2005 11:21 pm

Hey, I just tried installing Windows XP my new SATA hard drives and when I get past pressing "s" and loading the SATA drivers, it says there is no HDD to install to.  I have the drives set up in RAID 0 and they are selected as the boot drives like the mobo manual says.  I have an ASUS K8V SE Deluxe motherboard.

Thanks to anyone who can help, I am really in a pickle here.... :-[ :(

On bootup have you hit "Delete" (or whatever) and checked in the machine setup settings to see that the drives are being found by the hardware?

If not....... something in the hardware setup is wrong.  Gotta' figure out what that is first.  Could be as simple as a cable or a mobo jumper  :).  Could also be a bad component  :P.

best,

....john
