I want to replace my beige cd/floppy faceplates with some aluminum or the sort to match my case a bit better. Anyone know where I can find em?

There are two solutions to your problem.

1. Be like me and remove the faceplate, and paint it. Gives it a very nice uniform color, and should match your case nicely, as long as you get the right color. Use Krylon fusion.

2. Another method you can use is masking your drives. Basically glueing the orrigional bezels to the drive tray, then use a piece of plastic or rubber to connect the drive button to the bezel. Done right it looks very professional, and clean.

Well hope it helps

Spray Paint might work but it has a very nice Brushed look that I want to mimic if possible. Xoxide had them but no longer ary em.

This is an area where forethought comes ahead.  Even before I bought my computer, I knew I was gonna get a metal case, so I planned ahead.

Unfortunately your options are limited.  I have a pebbly-silver case, so I know matching that exact hue will be near to impossible.  Instead I stuck with the Memorex line of CD drives, which are offered in black, and go along well with silver. ;) My best suggestion would be to play with contrasting colors, as matching will be very difficult.

Go to a hobby shop and look at bare metal foil and look also at the paint .
