You can burn them to CD/DVD. Or you can plug your old harddrive into you new computer as a slave and drag/drop the files over to the new harddrive. Or, you can network the two computers and with file sharing, copy the files over. Or, you can get a google gmail account with 2GB storage and email it all there, then download it whenever.

Wheather_Man,
May be You all read told me this stuff,
But what I mean by back up is, XP lets you copy files to a Cd, no need for a another outside software to do this. I think I read this in Windows Xp for Dummies book.
I think only XP Proffessional comes with a simple backup program but Windows Xp home doesn't.

If you have a CD or DVD burner, you can just copy the files to your (empty) CD or DVD and burn them with the button XP will display in the left hand side of the explorer window. If you don't see the button, you can right click the white space (whilst exploring the drive's contents) and you should see a "burn" option.
