Hi Yvon,

The X800 Pro can be overclocked to XT PE specs with some simple mods to the clock speeds; if you're feeling a little bit more adventurous then you can also flash the BIOS so that you can achieve full XT PE status.

PS. C'est bon voir un Francaphone dans le Simviation!  ;D

Oui, j'ecris la phrase ci-dessus!  ;)

Cheers,
Mehdi. :)

Not all ATI x800 rpo can be o/c to xt PE speeds, bu a good deal can. It also depends on the cooling solution on your card.

Flashing a x800 pro to a xt or XT PE must be done carefully. Most x800 pro's have a laser cut that disables some pipelines and therefore would crash the vid card if flashed to a x800 xt since the x800 xt has no disabled pipelines.

Overclocking is fine, I was just warning about flashing bios which is a bad idea unless you know what you are doing.

Hi Yvon,  ;D

That's a sweet set-up perfect for just about any game. I don't think any overclocking is really necessary unless you want some extra FPS, in which case I would recommend you just overclock your X800 Pro to XT PE speeds. Simple to do with a good program called RivaTuner, available here: www.guru3d.com

Cheers,
Bonne soiree,
Mehdi.  :)
