How will it run?

Hi Folks:

I just posted this on the general FS2004 forum and was referred over here.  I am buying a notebook for school and the only game I wish to run is FS.  I'm looking at an HP dv4000 with the following specs:

Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor 715A (1.5 GHz)   edit
Graphics Card Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 900   edit
Memory 512MB DDR SDRAM, 333MHz (2x256MB)   edit
Hard Drive 60 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive

I know some of the larger notebooks have much better performance (w/ separate graphics cards and the like), but this will primarily be used for school work.  Will FS run respectably in this configuration?

Thanks so much for your help,
Kyle

Look for a notebook with either an ATI or Nvidia chipset in it,Ati's Mobility X800 or Nvidia's Go 6800 Ultra for example.

Intels integrated graphics is NOT what you want for FS9!

The "Go 6800 Ultra" is certainly the way I'd go for FS9 on a Laptop.

Hmm keep dreaming of running FS9 on that. What you need is a Cantrino (2Ghz min) and the mobility Radeon x800 or the Go 6800. Also a gig of RAM and a 7200RPM HDD. That is about a lower quality desktop and should be able to run FS9 decently.

Go to www.ibuypower.com or www.cybewrpowerinc.com Its kinda like alienware, but at a fourth of the price. Really good stuff, this is where I got my lappy from, and never been happier :)
