Rudder assignment on CH products Yoke

I recently got the CH Products flight sim Yoke-USB which is just amazing except for one issue i.e., the rudder assignments. The defaults rudder assignments are set but when in simulator they don't work. I checked the buttons in the properties and they work fine there. All the defaults assignments work fine except this (rudder)which appears dead.

Any help on this would kindly be appreciated.

Try calibrating in FS to see if it works there? Cheers, Gunny

Yes, i do calibrate it everytime i start MFS 2004 and all the buttons (including rudder assignments) work fine there. But when in the simulator only the rudder buttons don't seem to work. This happens to all the aircrafts.

Any suggestions please............

Delete the FS CFG file...... Forgot where it is, if that fails, try reinstall of sim, if that doesnt work, Maybe joystick drivers possibly? Cheers, Gunny

You're assigning the rudder to buttons?  Good luck steering!

Anyway, have you checked the repeat bars in the assignments. They are located to the far right of the assignment. Left is no repeat, middle is mild repeat and right is quick repeat.

If you're expecting it to increase your rudder while holding down the button and nothing happens, try repeatedly pressing the button. If you then get the results, go to the assignments and increase the repeat rate.

I hope you didn't go through a reinstall yet.

I thought he meant pedals.... Didnt read close enough.... your best off getting pedals or your gonna be sorta screwed.... Rudder is a must have! (I have a Microsoft Sidewinder precision 2) has twist effect, love it, can do 360s on taxi ways with sensitivity low.... if you use buttons it will be kinda slow (reminds me of days before I even knew what a joystick was and had only keyboard) Cheers, Gunny

Thanks, all you guys.  :D

I tried out the repeat rate and i now feel the rudder moving. But there still seems to be a problem.

1.) The rudder movements are felt in the plane but when i actually look at the rudders from the spot view to check its position, it shows center, although it is not. This is unlike the ailerons and elevators which move in the spot view when there is yoke movement.

2.) Is it possible to flip back the rudder to its center position after movements made from the yoke .

There is a function to center the ailerons & rudder together. Just make the assignment.

Best bet is to just buy the pedals.  Seriously though, rudders should be on an axis.  I would use the rocker switch on the right handle for that as in my experience I rarely ever have to adjust rudder trim except if I am engine out in a multi.
