With lighter planes you only need to use the slightest pressure on the joystick to fly. It's very sensitive, but that is normal. Also do you know how to trim?
Hope that helps...Chris

Pegee, try INCREASING the NULL Zone on your stick just a bit and see if that helps. It has done the trick for many others in the past.
Increase it just a tad and test. Then a bit more if first attempt has no improvement or not enough.
Good luck!

i the same problem and have posted a similar topic in another forum before reading your message.
and i think the simple answer is - microsoft flight simulator is a great to fly so long as as you make absolutely no attempt what so ever to hand fly it whilst on instruments.
just waaay to sensitive in pitch.
instrument approaches become like a rollercoaster ride -not stable at all....
what a pity -this huuuge oversight has really taken away from what could be an excellent training aid......

Not an oversight on Microsoft's part. All of the default acft. in FS9, FS2k2, FS2k, and the rest flew fine.
You start downloading acft. and now and then you will get one that has a bad air file or some entries in the acft.cfg file. That is the designer's fault.
Now and then, you get an acft. that acts that way, and yes, the acft. is very sensitive to manual stick input.
AS I SAID, many times increasing the NULL zone in your stick settings just a bit will take care of this problem.
And again, I will suggest that you try the above before you toss the acft.
