Well i dont know if this is where this goes, but im putting it here...

Well when every i play FS9 lately, and use some with more detail than a cessna( i was just trying it with the eclipse 500) . windows just shuts down and the comupter restarts, this blue screen comes up saying somthing about memory, and saying windows has been shut down to prevent damage.

I used the disk clean up to clean up some space althought on the two hard drives i have i have about 35GB of free space, about 25 on the drive FS9 is on.  Also defraged both of my harddrives. and turn the old tasks bars on to make it run faster( hopefully)

My system is a AMD Athlon 2800XP with a 768MB of ram, and a geforce fx 5200 graphics card.

Well after doing the things i stated earlier, i went a tried flying the eclipse again, well as soon is it start rolling backwards from the push back it did it again..

Any suggestions to improve performance.

What operating system are you running?
In all cases, download and run a memory modules test and let it run for a few hours. If it reports any errors, probably you have one or more faulty RAM chips.

Try removing your RAM then put it back in again, making sure it is firmly in place.  If that fails try using individual sticks of RAM to find out which is causing the mess-up.

It was probably a loose stick of RAM that caused the problems.

Most probabably was... Just out of interest you might want to run Prime95 for a few hours to check you stability esp if you have OC'd! Just Google for it, and watch the temps while its on!

If it was a loose stick consider yourself very very extremely lucky, 99% of the time a loose stick means the whole rig is fryed... glad it works btw...
