Hi Everyone,

My joystick, which was bought within the last 6 months, has devolped a horrible groaning and creaking sound, when i move it up, down left or right. It seems to be coming from the spring area. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? Is it just because it is quite new?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Very odd problem, maybe a little oil on the spring where it attaches to the joystick?

Be careful not to void the warranty by opening it.

Have had the same experience with the X45, only 3 mo old.

On mine its caused mainly by dirty/dry surface on the underside if the centering disk below the spring.

I just clean the underside and the ring below it and apply a little wax/furniture polish. I hesitate to use a petroleum based lube as these parts are plastic. Maybe some kind silicone based lube.

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks for the suggestions. I put some stuff called Super-Lube on it and the creaking is gone :)

Thanks for all your help,

Scott
