Thanks to the overclockers forum they came up this for me with my

ummm..looks good to me...

only things I would change would be the following...

1.  I would take XP home and turn it into XP PRO, definately worth the money in my book...

2.  Only a 350W power supply? I would slap a 500W or better in there, probably be better quality in terms of power supplied to everything...

I can't remember where, but there is a web-site that allows one to calculate the wattages needed in a power supply....perhaps you can find it doing a search and find out what wattages you really need?

Other than that though, as I said before it does look quite good, I must admit that I'm a wee bit jealous of the motherboard/processor combo...that's the next thing on my list after a set of rudder pedals...;-)

Sata drives generally access data faster than Pata drives.

Pata is old hat now anyway!  I have both a Pata and Sata in my comp and when I do speed tests my Sata is noticeably quicker.  

The drive they chose is weird though, its primarily a Pata drive but it also has a Sata interface.  What it doesn't do is list the seek time in the specs.  The seek time is the important bit.  So I looked at the seek time on the Maxtor Sata drives and they aren't as quick as the Western Digital ones.  I would go for the Sata drive I listed as its pretty close in price.

Looks good to me.

You shouldn't need any screws or glue.  The retail AMD CPU's heatsink already has thermal paste on it so you wont need to apply that.  I got a loada screws with my case or mobo when I purchased it so hopefully you will too.

Reckon its safe getting XP Pro off ebay? just gotta hope its not a copy I suppose.  Guess its worth a chance as it is a fair bit cheaper.

Yeah it'll be fine gettin it off ebay. We buy stuff there all the time. If you get it off a person with good history and who has sold lots of items, the price isn't giveaway (that always indicates a problem) etc and you can't go wrong.

Nice job and sweet setup!  :o Yes Overclockers is a great place I do not have a clue how I got by without them! Oh you did not get a bad deal at all that socket 939 board is ready for the AMD Dualies when your current CPU becomes outdated but that wont be  for a while as thats a really good CPU! so I don't reckon you will need to replace a mobo for a while to come. If I were you.. .. . is g et a better heatsink on it when you want to and you can have that thing overclcoked to 3400 speeds easy! I am quite jealous and like the lights!

Once you get XP and the Graphics Card installed it will be time to start optimising that system to get FS running silky smooth  8)

As for the overclocking, with the retail cooling fan (I have one) I had my 3500 (2200Mhz) running at 2600MHz with little rise in heat  8)

One thing that is scarey in your pics is the case fan looks like its going round but the CPU one doesn't !!!
