SLI ready to kick *^%

Postby the_autopilot » Fri Dec 24, 2004 6:44 pm

I just got my Asus SLI mobo today. I took many of components from previous computer and got it working today.

Specs below.

Unfortuately, eVGA won't sell me any more 6800 ultras as they are on backorder.

And I heard from Nvidia that you have to use the same brand and model for SLI, so I'm stuck with one meager 6800 ultra until i can get another.

I so happy that i got my sli mobo and so pissed that i can't test it out.

LAST I HEARD:

Microsoft Flight Simulator anything does NOT have provisions for SLI. Meaning you gain no performance, and (some benchmarks show) actually lose it!

However, the games that DO support it.... droooooool......
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
Athlon64 3700+ San Diego (2200) @ 2750 MHz
1024MB PC3200 @ 500 MHz (Mushkin V2)
GeForce 6800GT OC (BFG)
(2) 80G SATA Seagates RAID0
(1) Maxtor 250Gb 16MB Cache ATA133

Yeah i heard about that. Thats due to driver issues which will be fixed. The same happens with unreal tournment 04.
I want to test the games that are suppported... Doom 3...
