Well today I got bored and I havce never seen a "artifact" before so I thought I would just crank my video card. Its stock is 270/400 GF4 MX440 64 meg. Well she was runnin ok at 320/450 so I got bored and just CRANKED it. Had it to 380/475! turned on FS and the cessna was a pile of colurful 2d random shapes, i wanted to fly so I turned it down 10 Mhz on both clocks, a bit better there was an airplane there but it had a yellow tint to it and was still artifacting, so I lowere it more, repeaded this about 3 times and t wa still same thing so I put it to stock and it still artifacts and all the planes have wierd lightng effects and the sky is white, so I have the card underclocked now and have yet to test it, I am shure I overheadted the poor thing, im guessin temps in the 120C range on the GPU, that coud be why she is 1/2 broken or could be I just pushed it so hard it cant go back lol. Good think im gettin a 6800 card after xmas ;D

Sweet thats what we like to hear everynow and then! Overclock until destruction  ;D

I woulda waited until my new card was sat on my desk though.  My mate brought an ATI card off ebay once.  It too just made a yellow mess.  I told him it had probably been overclocked too much and he lost a fair bit of cash on that.

Be careful though, the heat from the card could damage componets.

I once fried a audigy sound card with the heat from a nvidia 5950 ultra. The gfx card surivied though, lol.
