Hi all and help!

I want to add some ram, I've got 512mb of Elixir pc3200.
My question is can I get another stick of Elixir pc3200 512mb and run it as a duel pair?
I have seen plenty of matched pairs of 512mb ram for doing this, but my funds won't go to

Technical stuff:
I think you need the same RAS/CAS times for both to get it to work correctly.

If you bought the first one a short while ago i think it's OK

Also your mobo needs to support 'Dual band'

Hi Gixer, I have an Asus P4C800 Delux mobo which does support it. Many thanks to everyone for replying I can now try to get another stick to make 1gig.

My last experience with Elixir ram was that the timings were VERY slow.

My PC actually ran faster and better without it. I sent it back and got some better stuff.

I mixed it with a better stick of ram, and it ran slow, the machine running at the poor quality ram's speed.

The guy at the shop knew the ram was inferior and replaced it immediately when I asked for a better stick.

Be sure you get the sticks in the correct slots. I have the P4C800-E Dlx and my two memory modules are in slots 0 and 2. This configuration tells the board to use the memory in dual channel (Hyperthreading). Open up your MB manual and check the slot config.

Also, FS2004 does not support Hyperthreading so don't expect any performance boosts from that.
