I noticed on my screen earlier that everything looks shadowed. Also there is a few thing dark line going down the left side of the screen. I have disconnected my monitor from the PC and reconnected it but I still have the same problem. It's a 17" CRT monitor with the GeForce FX 5700 graphic card.

Thanks. :)

Anyone?

Also, I just tried another monitor with the PC and it was fine, so it does seem as if it is a faulty monitor. Any ideas if it could be the settings, or shall I just contact the manufacturer?

Hi Liam, I would say it is your monitor. Sounds as if the power supply is crapping out or some other problem. How old is it. If it is new, I would contact the manufacturer!

Good Luck!!

Dave

Yeah, it is only a few months old.

I contacted the company where I got my PC, and I have been given a phone number for Relisys who make the monitor.

I'll give em a call later. :)

Cheers.

Im just going to bump this old thread way back up.

So I contacted Relisys, the monitor manufacuterer after I had this problem back in May. They sent me a new monitor and the problem was solved until last week. I called them again and then sent me yet another monitor and the problem came back within about 5 hours of having the monitor on.

It's still the same problem, shadowed lines appearing down the left side of the monitor the same in the middle of the monitor aswell but the lines are curved slightly down the middle. All the text and images that appear have shadows to the right of them aswell.

Does it sound like a Graphic Card problem possibly?

I have tried this monitor on another PC and the problem was there. And I tried another Monitor on this PC and it was fine so it does seem to be the monitor.

Cheers. :)
