LCD Monitor Recommendations/What To Look For

I need to get a new monitor as my CRT is on its last leg.  I don't really know much about the LCDs except that I've read on numerous sites that:

"Fast-action gaming and high-motion video are still best viewed on CRTs, because most panels suffer from motion blur or pixelation problems due to slower-than-required liquid crystal response times."

Or similar words to that effect.  Is this really going to be an issue with FS2004 that I'll notice?  Also, what should I look for in an LCD monitor?  I am used to 20 FPS in 2004.

I have noticed that some of them only have analog inputs, while my video card has both analog and digital outputs....do I really need to get an LCD with a digital input to get the full benefits of the new technology?

Anything else you can think of?

System specs:
Gigabyte K7 Triton (GA-7VT600)
VIA KT600 Chipset
VIA VT8237 Integrated Peripheral Controller
AMD XP 3200+
1Gb Kingston 3200 DDR ECC Memory
Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro Atlantis 128MB DDR

Philips 170C 17 inch LCD monitor.

For me the biggest benefit I noticed was the clarity of the text on the screen, and the brightness of the colours!
And my max resolution is now 1280 X 1024 32 bit colour, and everything is as clear as a bell in the flight sims.. ;D...!

For example: I can now read the millibar digits on the altimeter now, I couldn't on my old 17 inch CRT monitor... :'(...!
LOL...!

Cheers...!

Paul.

P.S. they are a bit expensive tho'.... ::)...!
