I've used it, it is great for use with fighters and helicopters but not GA and airliners. For GA and airliners a yoke is your best bet.

I love the X-45, as you'll notice by my frequent recommendations.  It's not the most realistic stick for an airliner, but it's very, very good.  Hands down the best stick available.

I have an X45 and love it. For GA aircraft, I use CH Products Flight Sim Yoke LE

Hi Skittles,

I just got a yoke and I have a question on the prop control where should it be (forward or back) with a single engine plane and it it different for a twin or jets.
Also, how do you work the rich/lean mix?

Thanks,

Chief

If I understand your question correctly you want to know the starting position of the Throttle? I have all of mine starting in the back position so that pushing forward increases the action.

I guess you're saying your yoke only has one lever on top or three?

If one... you'd need to adjust mix & pitch with buttons or another lever. I have the GoFlight TQ-6 performing all engine functions.

If three, you'd set one for "Throttle" to control All engines not ENG1 throttle which would control one engine of several.
Then do the same for the "Mixture" and "Pitch".

Did I answer your questions?
